Week of February 22-25th

On Wednesday, Students in AP Euro will be hearing a lecture on the unification of Germany.

They will also take a quiz on Communism and Karl Marx.

We will also be discussing Edgar Montero's kidnapping and the affect it had on Italian Unification.

On Friday, we will continue with an open book (probably take home) test on unification. We will also be learning about the impact of European culture on the globe. We may be starting a discussion of Imperialism.

On Tuesday, March 1st, we will discuss Imperialism. Students will view the film on the Battle of Tushima. We will continue to discuss Imperialism. Students will also do a short DBQ on Imperialism in the Belgian Congo under King Leopold.

Weeks of February 7th through February 18th

We have been busy reviewing how to write a Document Based Question paper.

On Tuesday, February 8th, students will be writing a DBQ of their choice from the four that were sent home.

On Thursday, they will need to turn in Questions on Chapter 23. We will also write a second DBQ. They will make a choice what DBQ they want me to grade--however--I will also be giving a second "first glance"grade on their second choice.

On Monday,February 14, we will continue with the course. I would like the Viva la Vida questions with parents signature on this day. Monday will be a lecture ont eh Crimean War. Students will read the Charge of the Light Brigade.

On Wednesday, February 16th, we will devote the class to the rise of Napoleon III and Third Empire France.

On Friday, February 18th, we will unify Germany and Italy. Students will be taking home maps to complete over the weekend.
